Hilversum do it again… for the third time in a row Hilversum win the Dutch National Rugby Championship after beating Gooi for the 2012 title.
Result: Gooi 0 v 35 Hilversum

The Dukes RC1 v Haagsche RC1
The Dukes RC1 v Haagsche RC1. One of the games in the last day of league games in the premier division. And what a game to finish with. A tit-for-tat series of penalties with both teams having 9 point just 3 minuets before the final whistle. Then The Dukes score a try and also get the conversion 16-9. Then just about 30 seconds before the final whistle Den Haag goes over the line, 16-14. Unfortunately they were not able to get the conversion, so end result stayed at 16-14.

Straffe Ketten v Lowlanders. Thalys Cup
Meanwhile on the other side of Brussels, the second of two international Rugby matches was taking Place. The battle between the Low Countries continues, Belgium is again confronting The Netherlands as the two Gay Rugby teams from Brussels and Amsterdam go head to head for the newly founded Thalys Cup.
This was the Thalys Cups inaugural match and will be contested when ever the Staffe Ketten (Brussels) confront the Lowlanders (Amsterdam).
Result for the first match: Straffe Ketten 12 v 5 Lowlanders

Belgium v Netherlands, European Cup, Division 1B
Belgium v Netherlands, European Nations Cup (Division 1B) at the Koning Boudewijnstadion in Brussels.
Needed to shoot this match from the stadium as no access to the pitch. What made it worse was fixed seating so I also had to shoot direct into the sun, so quality of photos is somewhat down, on the positive side, at least I got a bit of a suntan.
Result: Belgium 58 v 3 Netherlands. This puts Belgium at the top of the division and promotion into division 1A. Match Report (in Dutch) on rugbynieuws.nl
